August 2018: Strong Start Reading

Strong Start helps children learn to read. Their programs involve working with children directly in addition to providing resources for families to support the development of strong literacy skills. Together, helping children reach their potential and strengthening communities.


 

November 2018: Sexual Assault Centre

They support survivors of sexual violence they listen, facilitate healing, and celebrate resiliency. Using an anti-racist, intersectional feminist approach, they work to transform systems which promote gender-based violence.


 

February 2019: Nutrition for Learning

Nutrition for Learning offers universal access student nutrition programs in schools across Waterloo Region.

August 2019: St Mary's General Hospital - Woman's Cardiac

St Mary's General Hospital Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing patient care at St.Mary's General Hospital through the funding of vital equipment and programs.

They believe Waterloo Region should be a place where all students are nourished at school so they can learn, connect, participate and thrive. 

In partnership with youth and educators, they continually strive to elevate the experience of universal food access at schools in ways that promote optimal wellbeing, healthy relationships, and food literacy


 

February 2020: Food 4 Kids

They provide an essential service for local children experiencing chronic hunger. They deliver nutritious food packages directly to at-risk, vulnerable children when they are not in school.


 

August 2020: Wilmot Family Resource Centre and Interfaith Counselling

For 38 years, Wilmot Family Resource Centre has been the leading provider of social support services to low-income and food-insecure families and individuals in Wilmot Townships.

The Interfaith Counselling Centre has been serving the needs of individuals, couples and families for over 30 years.
